First aid for pediatric burns on site

With the advent of summer, the number of burn patients has increased dramatically, especially for children with hot liquid burns, so we would like to remind parents to strengthen their awareness of prevention. Please place hot water kettles, hot water bottles and cups out of the reach of children; when bathing children, put cool water in the tub first before adding hot water. If a small area is scalded, immediately rinse or soak it continuously with water to reduce pain and take away residual heat, which helps reduce the depth of the scald. Hot liquid-impregnated clothing can be cut open and removed after a cold water rinse, forcibly peeling off easy to tear off blister skin, increasing the difficulty of handling. In the vicinity of the scene, the trauma only seek to no longer contaminate, no longer damage, avoid the use of colored drugs to smear, so as not to affect the physician’s judgment of the depth of the scald when seeking medical attention, promptly sent to the hospital treatment. Children with large area burns need to be sent to the hospital immediately, because large area burns after the exudation of body fluids, serious cases can cause shock life-threatening.
