In vitro fertilization cost

IVF is the common name for in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer technique, which is the process of removing eggs and sperm separately, placing them in a culture fluid to fertilize them, and then transferring the embryos back to the mother’s uterus to develop into a fetus. IVF treatment is generally available for infertile couples with female or male factors, such as men with sexual dysfunction and oligospermia, weak sperm, and deformed sperm, or women with diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome, pelvic infection, and fluid in the fallopian tubes. IVF is a more mature technology and is widely used clinically, with a success rate of 50-60%, and more and more infertile couples are choosing to undergo this treatment. The cost of IVF depends on the specific situation. The overall cost of conventional IVF, from the first test to the embryo transfer in, is around $30,000. If second-generation IVF, or microfertilization, is required, the cost is roughly $5,000 more, or about $35,000. If the fresh embryo transfer fails and a frozen embryo transfer is to be done, the cost will be around $8,000. At present, the cost is not very expensive for families nowadays, and patients can feel free to undergo IVF treatment if they have the need for it.
