The risk of recurrence of breast cancer depends on its pathological stage and differentiation type. Generally speaking, the later the stage and the worse the differentiation, the higher the probability of recurrence after surgery. Among all malignant tumors in human body, the greatest risk is that even after the radical resection with visible surgery, including the surrounding lymph node dissection, even in the early stage, there is a possibility of tumor recurrence and metastasis. For any malignant tumor, radical surgical resection is the prerequisite, while post-operative chemotherapy, radiotherapy and even further molecular targeted drug therapy are needed to improve the cure rate of patients. Therefore, it is possible for breast cancer to recur after surgical resection, but the earlier the stage, the lower the probability of recurrence.
