The role of cough check for mycoplasma

Mycoplasma cough is mainly considered for the presence of mycoplasma infection. In clinical practice, the common clinical symptoms of mycoplasma infection include cough, fever, low sputum, and a cough that lasts for a long time. Also for mycoplasma infections conventional anti-infective treatment drugs are ineffective, such as penicillin, cephalosporins and other corresponding drugs cannot cover the mycoplasma, therefore in the presence of cough, especially in acute cough, mycoplasma examination is of great value to assess whether the cough is caused by mycoplasma infection. If the diagnosis is clear the appropriate anti-infective treatment, including quinolones, macrolides, etc., needs to be added for timely intervention.
