Dreams, since ancient times, have carried a layer of mystery. In the mind of psychiatrists, what types of dreams are there? 1. Fragmented type The content is messy and fragmented, like the thinking and speech of a severely impaired consciousness, which is incomprehensible. After waking up, the dreamer is unable to describe the memories, and can only say that the dream is “messy”. After waking up, the dreamer often feels drowsy or head discomfort. This kind of dream is often found after drunkenness, and a considerable part of neurological patients who complain of dreaming a lot belong to this type. 2. Physiologically determined type Such as those who are in urgent need of urination dreaming of finding a toilet, those who are hungry dreaming of eating something fiercely, those whose limbs are exposed in the cold air outside and dreaming of walking in the snow and ice, etc. After waking up, the dream is still fresh in the mind. After waking up, the memory of the dream is still fresh, and there is still physiological perception, this kind of dream has been recorded in our ancient books. Ejaculation during sleep and dream of sexual intercourse also belong to this category. 3, plot type form and content like a story or a play, mainly: (1) cathartic: dream meeting, criticize someone, impassioned and generous, get applause, after waking up the dreamer felt very happy, although know that it is only a dream. The person criticized in the dream can be regarded as a symbol or a stand-in for the person or thing the dreamer is discontented with. (2) Expressive: As the saying goes, “dreaming of marrying a bride”, dreaming of getting promoted and getting rich and soaring to greatness is also of this kind. It expresses the dreamer’s desire and pursuit during the day, but the dreamer is not necessarily clear about it. (3) Anxiety: the content of the dream is a variety of anxiety situation, such as dream exams, bewildered by the test questions, or dream relatives seriously ill and very anxious, or dream social and a very embarrassing scene, such as a get up pants torn a large mouth, and so on. As usual, the dreamer has anxiety events or situations of varying degrees of severity during the day. (4) Admonishing: The content of this type of dream is tantamount to a wake-up call to the dreamer. For example, the dreamer strikes a blow and knocks the opponent to the ground, and upon closer inspection, he finds that the opponent is dead, and then he is arrested and tied to the execution ground for execution. The dreamer felt: “This is a warning to me, do not act recklessly.” (5) Reenactment type: old events are reenacted in the dream, although the plot is more or less changed, but there is a sense of “déjà vu” after waking up. This kind of dream can have one or more of the above four effects, but part of it is anxiety. (6) Non-significant: Usually the plot is very simple, such as dreaming about a person walking alone in a field, or a tap running, or seeing a street with a lot of traffic, or a strange scene of a fragment (such as falling from a height, which is different from anxiety dreams in that there is no anxiety), and so on. The difference between psychoanalysis and common sense is that dreams are interpreted by the waking mind, or, alternatively, the waking mind is interpreted by the dream.
