What medicine should I take for cough with lung fever?

Lung-heat cough is a Chinese medical term for a cough that occurs mainly due to heat in the lungs and loss of lung qi promotion. In Western medicine, such symptoms are found in common upper respiratory tract infections, acute and chronic bronchitis attacks, and other respiratory diseases. Medication can be either herbal or western medicine. Chinese medicine treatment is recommended to use drugs to resolve phlegm and stop cough, and to promote lung and calm asthma. Chinese medicines can be used such as snake bile loquat paste, pudilan oral liquid or pediatric lung-heat cough and asthma oral liquid. Western medicine is mainly symptomatic treatment, and different drugs are chosen for different symptoms. If there is fever, non-steroidal drugs such as acetaminophen can be used; if there is cough and yellow sputum, which indicates bacterial infection, cephalosporin or amoxicillin antibiotics can be taken orally; if the cough is severe, cough suppressants such as dextromethorphan can be applied, and if the cough is obvious at night, the first generation antihistamine ketotifen can be used. In general, those who have cough with yellow sputum accompanied by sore throat and dry mouth, or those with elevated blood picture, can choose Chinese medicine combined with antibiotic treatment, such as choosing Chuanbei Pipa cream or Pu Di Lan oral liquid combined with amoxicillin capsule orally, which generally has obvious therapeutic effect.
