Can you eat cakes and bread with stomach ulcers?

Patients with gastric ulcers are advised to eat as little pasta or sweet things as possible. Cakes or bread, because of the large amount of sugar, may stimulate the secretion of gastric acid, causing increased irritation of the gastric mucosa and thus potentially aggravating the gastric ulcer, but it is not that absolute prohibition of food. In the case of gastric ulcer, the stimulation of gastric acid on the gastric mucosa can cause the ulcer to gradually increase in size, or there can be bleeding, perforation, pyloric obstruction, or even cancer of the ulcer. The food such as cake and bread can be eaten less or not as much as possible, with a light and easily digestible diet, avoiding tobacco, alcohol and cold food as much as possible, suggesting the usual review of gastroscopy, and pay attention to the examination of H. pylori.
