Breast cancer has become the number one killer of modern women’s health, and the trend of youthfulness is significant, which has caused widespread concern among women. However, sometimes what you think may not be correct. Myth 1: Will breast enlargement develop into breast cancer? Mammary hyperplasia is just a pathological description. The endocrine changes or disorders of menstruation, development, pregnancy, degeneration, menopause and menopause can cause structural and functional disorders and even diseases in the thyroid gland and breast gland, and mammary gland hyperplasia is a common manifestation of such structural and functional changes. Mammary gland hyperplasia belongs to the category of disorders in normal breast development and degeneration, and there are no inflammatory changes. Therefore, mastocytosis is not a disease and usually does not require medication or treatment. Myth 2: Mammography will lead to breast cancer Mammography can detect early breast cancer of about 0.5cm, with an accuracy rate of 90%. Compared to the benefits of early diagnosis of breast cancer, the radiation damage of X-ray examination seems insignificant. The amount of radiation prescribed by the FDA is quite low, equivalent to the average person absorbing more than three months of radiation from natural sources. Myth 3: After breast cancer is diagnosed, you must cut your breast? After being diagnosed with breast cancer, for breast cancer patients, sometimes they must face a difficult decision: whether to undergo breast-conserving surgery or not? For breast-conserving surgery, patients mostly present two extremes: one is to strongly request for breast-conserving, and the other is to be overly afraid of recurrence and request for removal regardless of the doctor’s diagnosis. To determine whether a patient, especially one under 40 years of age, can undergo breast-conserving surgery, one must first check for multicentric lesions by MRI, and then give an adequate imaging evaluation and professional opinion. When breast-conserving conditions are available, we will communicate with the patient to understand his or her psychology, personality, couple’s relationship and social status, discuss with them and let the patient make the final decision by himself or herself. Having breast cancer is not equal to a death sentence. Breast cancer is a tumor on the surface of the body, which can be easily detected at an early stage, and it is entirely possible to cure breast cancer at an early stage. Positive and optimistic is the heart-attractant, persistent exercise is the heart-strengthening needle, healthy diet is the detoxification pill, regular work and rest is the strong medicine, and regular medical check-up is the immune wall.
