Sudden panic in the middle of the night

If a patient has sudden panic attacks in the middle of the night, it may be caused by staying up too late, or by recent mental stress and strain. There are also some patients with long-term mental stress and anxiety from time to time, which may also trigger this symptom of panic. Especially in the sleep state, this situation is considered to be a disorder of the regulation of plant nerve function, or called cardiac neurosis. It is advisable to have an ambulatory electrocardiogram to help assess whether the patient is suffering from myocardial ischemia or arrhythmia during the onset of uncomfortable symptoms. A systematic assessment of the degree and condition of the arrhythmia can be done. Patients are advised to take appropriate medications that inhibit sympathetic excitability, such as bisoprolol or metoprolol, to prevent the onset of panic symptoms.
