Thickening of the lining of the uterus. Are endometrial polyps okay?

Thickening of the uterine lining with endometrial polyps is not a normal phenomenon and requires hysteroscopic removal of endometrial polyps and diagnostic curettage if necessary.
Endometrial thickening with endometrial polyps can lead to heavy menstrual flow, long duration of menstruation, dribbling of menstruation, and the presence of malignant lesions.
1. If a woman is found to have abnormally thickened endometrium, diagnostic curettage for pathologic examination is usually recommended to clarify the type of endometrial hyperplasia. If it is simple hyperplasia or complex hyperplasia, medication can be used to regulate it. However, if it is atypical hyperplasia, it belongs to pre-cancerous lesions, and if the effect of medication is not good, surgery may be needed.
2. The formation of endometrial polyps can be caused by high levels of estrogen in the body or by chronic endometrial inflammation. Endometrial polyps can affect not only menstruation but also pregnancy. Therefore, if you have endometrial polyps, it is recommended that you undergo a hysteroscopic polypectomy and have a pathologic examination after the surgery.
