Can endometrial thickening be treated with herbs?

Some of the symptoms caused by endometrial thickening can be regulated by taking Chinese medicine, but since there are many causes of endometrial thickening, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital for examination and treatment according to the specific conditions of endometrial thickening.
Endometrial thickening is a western concept, its main symptoms are irregular menstrual bleeding, prolonged menstrual period or excessive menstrual flow, etc., Chinese medicine is categorized as menstrual pre-menstrual period, late menstrual period, menstrual disorders and other categories.
According to TCM theory, endometrial thickening is mainly based on factors such as deficiency of the liver and kidneys, and weakness of the spleen and qi (spleen qi weakness), which leads to Chong Ren Dystrophy (a malfunction of the Chong Vein and Ren Vein, resulting in the body’s qi and blood not being able to pass through the body), which fails to regulate the menstrual blood and results in menstrual abnormality. Common diagnoses include Liver Depression, Kidney Deficiency and Blood Stasis.
1. Liver depression: mainly manifested as abnormal menstruation, accompanied by distension and pain in the chest and hypochondrium areas, distension and pain in the abdomen, aggravated by emotional stimulation, etc. It can be treated by using Free San or Chai Hu Liver-Sparing San to regulate menstruation by dispersing the liver and regulating the flow of qi.
2. Kidney deficiency: mainly manifested as abnormal menstruation, accompanied by lumbar and knee pain and weakness, dizziness, tinnitus and other symptoms. It can be treated by using Solid Yin Decoction to tonify the kidney and regulate menstruation.
3. Blood stasis: mainly manifested as irregular menstruation with blood stasis, accompanied by pain in the abdomen with refusal to press, stabbing pain, pain in a fixed place and other symptoms. It can be treated with Diaphragm Under Blood Stasis Tang to eliminate blood stasis, stop bleeding and regulate menstruation.
It is recommended that patients with thickening of the endometrium should consult a doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, and should not blindly use medication on their own to avoid delaying their condition.
