Gas is the source of the universe and the foundation of all things. Gas gathers to form, and form disperses into gas. The qi moves and there is yin and yang; yin and yang merge, and all things are born. Qi is unceasingly moving and changing. The movement of qi is called qi qi. Its movement in various forms, but can be highly summarized as rise, fall, out, into four forms. Ascending, i.e., from the bottom up; descending, i.e., from the top down; out, i.e., from the inside out; into, i.e., from the outside in. Under normal circumstances, the stability of things are maintained through the dynamic balance of rise and fall, out and in. Changes in gas are called qi. The performance of these gasification is very complex, such as animal life, growth, strength, old age, has been; plant life, growth, chemical, collection, hiding, none of which is the list of gasification. The invisible gas into a qualitative form, qualitative form into an invisible form of gas transformation also belongs to the gasification. The transformation of qi is never-ending. The relationship between qi and qi is very close, must be through the qi to produce qi, if the gas lift in and out of the movement once stopped, qi will stop. Therefore, ancient Chinese philosophers believe that its non-stop movement and change, causing everything in the world is also non-stop movement and change, and all the movement in the world, are the specific expression of the change of gas movement. Qi is the basic substance that constitutes the human body. Human life activities, the need to take nutrients from the “heaven and earth gas” in order to nourish the five organs of the gas, so as to maintain the physiological activities of the body. Human organs, six bowels, body, organs, blood and fluids, etc., are all tangible and static things, must be driven by the gas in order to move. When there is an imbalance in the movement of qi, it will lead to disease. Therefore, the starting point of treatment should be qi, aiming at restoring the balance of qi’s ascending, descending, exiting, and entering, and conforming to the changes of qi’s day and night, of qi’s spring, summer, autumn, and winter, of qi’s life’s birth, growth, strength, aging, and death, of qi’s four seasons’ birth, growth, transformations, harvesting, and storing, which are the qi’s sequences. This is the order of qi. Therefore, it is said that qi is the first thing to be cured, and the order of qi is the first thing to be treated. A good doctor’s qi is also the order.
