For all of us, growing older means not only a gradual enrichment of our experience, but also more and more marks left by the years on our bodies. Wrinkles of all sizes are etched on our faces, reminding us that the years are not kind to us. In order to fight against the years and cope with the anxiety brought about by aging, various beauty treatments have become a powerful tool to reclaim our youth. Among them, ultrasonic knife cosmetic treatment stands out. Why is ultrasonic scalpel known as the code of reverse ageing? The foundation of the human body’s young skin to keep taut and smooth is the important components hidden in the dermis layer of human skin and some subcutaneous tissues – collagen and elastin. The content of collagen and elastin, however, will decrease with age, in the process of decreasing, will not only reduce the thickness and elasticity of the dermis layer, causing the appearance of wrinkles, but also weaken the function of the subcutaneous superficial myofascia, exacerbating skin laxity. What is Ultrasound Knife? Ultrasound Knife, as a new minimally invasive cosmetic means, combines micro-focused ultrasound with a visual ultrasound transducer and draws on the principle of high-intensity focused ultrasound to gather ultrasound waves in a smaller area, delivering short pulses of percutaneous ultrasound energy, targeting depths of up to 4.5 mm. Ultrasound Knife Diagram Ultrasound waves are focused on soft tissue within a designated target, causing its constituent molecules to vibrate, creating friction that generates heat, which then induces coagulative necrosis within the soft tissue. High-intensity focused ultrasound therapy is a minimally invasive treatment used to treat solid tumors. 1, the depth of ultrasound knife Ultrasound knife according to different depths of action, can be in the role of the region of the deep dermis or subcutaneous tissue, producing a size of about 1 cubic millimeter of thermal damage zone, making the local collagen coagulation and denaturation, generally in the treatment of 4-12 weeks after the recovery. There are currently three depths that can be selected for UltraSonic, namely 4.5mm, 3mm and 1.5mm. Of these, 4.5 mm targets the superficial subcutaneous myofascia, which is a continuous subcutaneous network of elastic fibers, mainly composed of collagen and elastin, that mediates the relationship between the facial skin and the expression muscles. While 3 millimeters and 1.5 millimeters target the deep and middle dermal reticular layer respectively. 2, the temperature of ultrasonic knife After selecting the depth, ultrasonic knife can heat the target area to the optimal temperature of collagen deformation, that is, 60-70 ℃, while the temperature of the superficial skin tissues is only 45-47 ℃, which will not cause significant damage. Degenerated collagen fibers contract after heating, causing skin tightening. In addition, thermal damage will cause a healing-like reaction in the local area, generating new collagen and elastin, so as to achieve the reversal of skin aging and tightening of the skin and improve the effect of wrinkles. 3, the comfort of ultrasonic knife Because the depth of action of ultrasonic knife is generally in the deep dermis, and everyone’s pain threshold is different, so it is impossible for everyone’s treatment process without a trace of pain. However, the vast majority of the time only localized areas may feel warm and sore, which is perfectly acceptable for most candidates. Although the ultrasonic knife can help candidates to achieve the purpose of reducing the signs of age, rejuvenation, but the skin aging factors, in addition to age there is a very easy to ignore the point – sun exposure. Ultraviolet light in the sun will accelerate the reduction or change of collagen and elastin in the dermis layer of the skin, and can cause the weakening of the activity of fibroblasts, as well as increase the activity and number of metalloenzyme proteins, reduce the number of collagen in some cases, thus causing changes in the epidermis, such as light freckles, gelatinous chestnut pimples, and skin heterochromia on the neck and chest, and so on. Therefore, even with the ultrasound as a powerful “weapon”, you need to do a good job of daily skin care and sun protection! References [1] Zhou Luqi,Ma Gang,Lin Xiaoxi.
