Can I squeeze the hairy sinus in the sacrococcygeal area?

The swelling of the sacrococcygeal sinus is due, on the one hand, to the presence of internal pus; on the other hand, the local soft tissue is swollen due to inflammatory oedema.
Although, it may be possible to squeeze the abscess with force and allow the pus to escape, this is in principle forbidden. Not only does this not completely remove the lesion and lead to recurrence of the abscess, but it may also lead to the spread of the infection and worsen the condition.
If there is local swelling and discomfort, prompt surgical treatment is still necessary.
