How to prevent and treat non-specific vulvodynia

The vulva is close to the urethra and anus, and is often stimulated by menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, urine and feces, which can cause vulvodynia if no attention is paid to skin cleanliness; secondly, urine stimulation in diabetic patients, fecal stimulation in patients with fecal fistula, and long-term urine impregnation in patients with urinary fistula; in addition, wearing tight-fitting chemical fiber underwear and using sanitary napkins during menstruation lead to poor local permeability and local humidity, which can cause non-specific vulvodynia. The patient may feel itching, pain and burning sensation in the mucous membrane of the vulvar skin, which is aggravated during activity, sexual intercourse, urination and defecation. Examination reveals local congestion, swelling, erosion, often with scratch marks, and in severe cases, ulcers or eczema. Chronic inflammation can make the skin thicken, rough, cracked, and even mossy. The treatment principle is to keep the local clean, dry, local application of antibiotics, eliminate diabetes, urinary fistula, fecal fistula and other causes.
