What are the diagnostic criteria for fallopian tube cancer?

Tubal cancer is highly malignant and not easy to be diagnosed early. The most common symptoms in clinic are vaginal discharge, abdominal pain and pelvic mass, which is also called tubal cancer triad. Then, what are the diagnostic criteria of fallopian tube cancer? The following is to introduce to you. 1. Microscopic criteria 1) Tubal tuberculosis can be clearly excluded. (2) The epithelium of fallopian tube is replaced by cancerous tissue in whole or in part. The histologic type is similar to that of fallopian tube mucosa. 3) The endometrium and ovaries are normal. If there is a cancerous focus, it should be small in size and its histologic manifestations are consistent with that of a metastatic cancerous focus in the fallopian tube. 2. Naked eye criteria 1) The uterus and ovaries are largely normal or free of cancer invasion. 2) The fallopian tube, at least its distal end, is abnormal, and the umbilical end may be open or atretic, similar to chronic tubalitis. 3) Papillae are growing in the fallopian tubes.
