Testicular tumors are the most common type of tumors of the male reproductive organs. They are divided into germ cell tumors and non-germ cell tumors. Germ cell tumors are common and frequent, such as: seminoma, teratoma, teratoma, embryonal carcinoma, choriocarcinoma, etc.; non-germ cell tumors such as: gonadal stromal tumor, gonadal germ cell tumor, testicular reticulum adenoma, mesenchymal tumor, carcinoid tumor, residual adrenal tumor. All the above tumors are malignant tumors. The etiology of testicular tumors is mainly due to the mutation of oncogenes carried by testes under the action of external carcinogenic factors. Tumors originating from germ cells account for more than 90% of all testicular tumors, that is, the majority of testicular tumors originate from germ cells, and only very few testicular tumors originate from non-germ cells. The tumor with the highest incidence of germ cells is seminoma, which accounts for about 70%. Therefore, seminoma is the most common type of testicular tumor. Testicular tumors usually occur in young adults, but of course, they can also occur in the 70s or 80s, or in young children who are learning to talk. They have a common “penchant” for growing silently in the testicle. The mass is often painless, but heavy, hard like a stone, and heavy in the hand, so patients often feel a sense of falling. Some individual tumors can grow to be huge, weighing tens of kilograms, and by then, it is very difficult for patients to walk. Some tumors can also secrete some androgens and chorionic gonadotropins, which interfere with the normal physiological functions of human body and cause abnormal performance of endocrine disorder, but also provide clues for doctors to “hunt” them down. Testicular tumors are never satisfied with local destruction, they metastasize to distant parts of the body through lymphatic vessels or with the help of blood circulation as soon as they have a chance, which is one of the major vices of malignant tumors. They greedily devour the patient’s organism and damage the health of human body until life. The testicles are located in the scrotum and are easy to touch because they are superficial, so self-examination is important. Men should always touch their testicles inside the scrotum, if they find lumps, hard knots or abnormal enlargement of the testicles, which are heavy and hard, they should be highly alert to the occurrence of testicular tumor and should seek medical attention as soon as possible. The treatment of testicular tumor depends on different choices according to the nature of the tumor. Generally, for testicular tumor found in early stage, the first thing to do is to remove the affected testicle, and according to whether there is metastasis or not, lymph node dissection, together with radiotherapy and chemotherapy and other treatment measures, can generally achieve better long-term results.
