Oral amoxicillin, azithromycin as well as ceftriaxone can be taken in the acute stage of otitis media caused by bacterial infection, but the type of bacterial infection, the severity and duration of the disease are different, and it is not possible to judge which medicine will get better faster. Otitis media can be clinically divided into three major categories, namely acute suppurative otitis media, chronic suppurative otitis media, and secretory otitis media. It is necessary to give the appropriate anti-inflammatory drugs according to the actual situation of the patient’s condition. 1. For acute and chronic suppurative otitis media, patients need to take amoxicillin, azithromycin and ceftriaxone orally under the guidance of a doctor. 2. For secretory otitis media, antibiotics are not routinely recommended in the absence of clear evidence of co-infection. Antibiotics may be used in the acute stage. Patients with otitis media need to go to the hospital, under the guidance of the doctor to use the appropriate drugs for treatment, do not use their own anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent aggravation of the condition.
