I started my new year with confidence, and just two days after I started my work, there were a lot of patients who came to request IVF, and I had a lot of communication with them. In other words, what is the process of IVF? Let me tell you about it in layman’s terms. Be full of confidence, firm belief and active cooperation. Have three documents ready: ID card of both parties, marriage certificate, and birth certificate. Although the whole process takes about 15~45 days (depending on the program), the time to come to the hospital closely is about a week or so. The whole process is only injections and no incisions. There is a slight pain during the egg retrieval procedure, which is generally tolerable. If your family is far away, you can stay in our observation ward, and you only need to come to the hospital for a follow-up appointment according to the doctor’s requirements. If your husband is busy, the woman can come first, but the husband must be present during the two days of egg retrieval and embryo transfer. Of course, your wife will be very happy to have the company of your husband throughout the whole process. 1. Before in vitro fertilization, laboratory tests of secretion, blood, ultrasound and semen should be done routinely. So don’t eat in the morning, and don’t have intercourse on the day before the clinic if the man hasn’t had semen for 5-7 days. All the tests can be done in one morning, and the results can wait one or two days for telephone consultation. 2. Basic endocrine check on the third day of menstruation on an empty stomach and ultrasound to assess ovarian function. 3.Patients with regular menstruation will be monitored for ovulation on the 13th day of menstruation, and the injection will be started one week after ovulation (down regulation). 4.Start the injection of super follicle development, about 8~10 days. 5.After the follicles are mature, the eggs are retrieved and the male partner has to remove the semen on the same day. 6, The eggs will unite with sperm and develop into embryos, about 3 days. 7.Embryos will be transferred into the woman’s uterus about 3 days after egg retrieval, and any extra embryos can be frozen for preservation. 8. Half a month after the embryo transfer, you can know if you are pregnant by taking a urine test or drawing blood.
