Dexamethasone, a glucocorticoid, has anti-inflammatory, anti-toxic, anti-shock and anti-allergic effects. When applying it, care must be taken that if the dose of intravenous dexamethasone is high in a short period of time, be cautious, it will easily induce diabetes, hypertension, and the risk of bleeding complicated by peptic ulcers. Dexamethasone is contraindicated in patients with tuberculosis, and also in patients with viral infections such as chickenpox. If it is applied for a long time, the drug should be discontinued gradually, but not immediately, or it will rebound.
