Thyroid tumors may recur after malignant resection, and the chance of recurrence is highly related to the extent of surgical removal. Surgical treatment is preferred for thyroid tumors, and the progression of the disease can be controlled by directly removing the diseased area through surgical treatment. The probability of recurrence of thyroid cancer varies according to the size of the scope of the resected lesion site. According to clinical statistics, the probability of recurrence is as high as 40%~60% after simple tumor removal; removal of the tumor as well as the affected thyroid gland lobes can reduce the recurrence rate to 20%~30%, and after total thyroidectomy, the recurrence rate is only about 10%. Overall, thyroid malignant tumor removal or recurrence, timely detection and early surgical treatment, reduce the difficulty of treatment, more conducive to the recovery of health after surgery.
