Can I choose the gender for IVF?

The introduction of IVF technology has benefited many infertile couples, but some couples want to be able to specify the sex of their fetus while solving their fertility problems. So, is it true that IVF can choose the gender? Here, we will introduce it in detail. Currently, domestic laws clearly do not allow gender selection through IVF technology. Some private hospitals advertise that they can guarantee a boy or a girl, which is not in line with the national regulations, and they are all for profit. However, there are exceptions to this rule. Third generation IVF technology allows for pre-transfer diagnosis of embryos and screening for gender-related genetic disorders. In other words, if a couple has a certain genetic disorder, such as hemophilia, where the male has the disease and the female is the carrier and will not develop it, this technology can screen for female embryos to achieve eugenics. This technique is only available for a small number of patients, and this screening is not allowed if it is done only to choose to have a boy. Warm tip: IVF technology is carried out to solve the fertility problems of infertile couples, and being able to conceive successfully is the most important thing, while having a male or female can only be natural.
