Can superficial vein thrombosis be cured?

Superficial vein thrombosis is potentially curable. 1. In the early stage of superficial venous thrombosis, with fresh thrombus, relatively large thrombus volume, and these thrombi in large vessels, the thrombus can be removed by means of interventional therapy or surgery, and appropriate anticoagulation is used after the surgery to prevent re-formation of the thrombus, which has a good therapeutic effect. 2. If the thrombus is an old superficial vein thrombus with a small thrombus load or a thrombus in a small branch vein, anticoagulation is sufficient to prevent further increase of the thrombus load and new thrombus in other locations. The reestablishment of collateral circulation after thrombus mechanization also compensates for the reflux effect. Although superficial vein thrombosis is well treated, coagulation indices, D-dimer and repeat venous angiography are needed during treatment.
