The pain can be dull pain, cutting pain, aggravated at night, or even waking up in pain, and often radiates to the neck, back, forearm and hand. Movement disorders Due to extensive adhesions of the soft tissues around the shoulder, the joint movement is limited. 3.Pressure pain Most patients can palpate obvious pressure points in and around the diseased joint. Most of the pressure points are in the anterior and lateral parts of the shoulder (greater humeral tuberosity, inter-nodal sulcus, pecking eminence, and subacromial crest). 4.Muscle atrophy and spasm The deltoid, supraspinatus and other muscles around the shoulder may develop spasm in the early stage and disuse atrophy may occur in the late stage. 5.Some patients may develop calcification of supraspinatus tendon and subacromial bursa by X-ray examination.
