Chinese medicine treatment for atrophic gastritis

Atrophic gastritis is a disease that requires gastroscopy and pathology to determine, often with concurrent atrophy, intestinal epithelial chemosis, and atypical hyperplasia. The symptoms of the disease present in a variety of ways with no distinctive features. Some patients have pain, while others see only mild discomfort and no pain. Other symptoms such as belching, bloating, poor appetite, acidity, etc., also vary from person to person. Atrophic gastritis is a disease that requires high priority because the disease has a much greater likelihood of transforming into gastric cancer than other gastric diseases. Regardless of the severity of symptoms, a long-term treatment plan needs to be developed. Our treatment principle is: Chinese herbal medicine is the mainstay, combining long and short term. 1. Long-term treatment. Choose a proprietary Chinese medicine specifically for the treatment of atrophic gastritis and take it for a long time. We prefer Gastric Fuchun tablets, which we have been using for more than ten years, with good results. The disadvantage is that the tablets, once you take 4 capsules, after taking a little discomfort in the stomach. Gastric Fuchun is hot, a little bit of fire after taking it, but it does not matter. Other proprietary Chinese medicines: Gastric and stomach relief granules, Zhengqi Fuzheng capsule also have a relatively good effect. There are some other proprietary Chinese medicines for atrophic gastritis that we have not used and have no experience with, so it is not convenient to evaluate. Choose one or two kinds of Chinese medicines, regardless of the presence of symptoms, long-term use, do not stop using until the gastroscopy review can not see atrophy. 2. Short-term conditioning. For those with obvious symptoms, we add a decoction of Chinese herbal medicine, which is good for body conditioning and accelerating the cure. Most textbooks consider atrophic gastritis to be a stomach yin deficiency, but it is not uncommon for us to see patients with yin deficiency. It is not uncommon to see patients with spleen and stomach dampness and heat, dampness and turbidity, liver and stomach disharmony, liver fire offending the stomach, spleen qi deficiency and other TCM evidence. Prescribing a decoction of Chinese medicine depends on the results of each patient’s specific diagnosis, which means that we need to see the patient so that the medicine prescribed will be accurate. The purpose of prescribing herbal decoction is to regulate the overall state and eliminate the symptoms. Chinese medicine attaches great importance to the overall state. If the whole body is out of balance, there will be local problems. Only when the overall state is adjusted can local diseases be easily cured. It is also very important to eliminate symptoms with decoction of Chinese medicine. We believe that: long-term treatment with medicine is something that every patient must adhere to and cannot stop taking. Short-term pot herbal treatment can be intermittent, depending on the severity of the symptoms to see a doctor. Atrophic gastritis is curable, the key is the treatment method and persistence. If the patient takes a proprietary Chinese medicine for a long time, the financial burden will not be too heavy and the patient can persist. The patients with atrophic gastritis that we have cured over the years have been implemented according to this treatment principle.
