Occipital fracture danger period days

There are three risk periods after an occipital fracture: the first one is within 24 hours after the injury. This is because there is a risk of a dramatic increase in cerebral hemorrhage, which can compress the surrounding cranial cells and the respiratory and circulatory centers, resulting in a life-threatening situation. Second, 3-5 days after the fracture, it is the period of cerebral edema, which will gradually increase after the injury, resulting in increased intracranial pressure, dysfunction of cranial cells, respiratory and circulatory disorders, and other functional decreases. The third one is within three months after the fracture. But the degree of risk is much less than the first and second risk period. It is mainly prone to traumatic epilepsy and delayed cerebral hemorrhage, which is the appearance of convulsions caused by traumatic stimuli, and cerebral hemorrhage in locations where there is no bleeding.
