Signs of esophageal cancer one week before death

Esophageal cancer is a malignant tumor originating from the mucosal epithelium of the esophagus, with good prognosis in early treatment and 5-year survival rate >90%; for patients whose survival is affected by untimely treatment, the following manifestations usually appear in the late stage, but not necessarily one week before death: 1. difficulty in swallowing: it is a typical symptom of esophageal cancer in the late stage. 2. Esophageal reflux: Esophageal cancer causes esophageal obstruction, dilatation and retention in the proximal esophagus, resulting in reflux, which may be bloody or contain ulcerated tissue; 3. Pain: esophageal cancer may cause erosion and ulceration, which may lead to pain. If metastasis occurs, it may lead to pain at the metastasis site, for example, metastasis to bone may lead to bone pain; 5.Bleeding: If the tumor invades the aorta, it may cause hemorrhage, and the patient may go into shock or even die because of excessive blood loss; 6.Other: The patient’s blood pressure is low and may need blood pressure raising drugs to stabilize in the normal range, accompanied by rapid heart rate and low urine volume. No stool.
