Caution in the use of five drugs, including ceftriaxone sodium

The State Food and Drug Administration held a routine press conference on July 8 to inform the safety information of ceftriaxone sodium, recombinant human erythropoietin, morte-macrolide, antiepileptic drugs, antidepressants, to remind medical personnel and patients to pay attention to the rational use of these five drugs. Ceftriaxone sodium is a representative variety of anti-infective drugs, its adverse reactions and irrational use of drugs to a certain extent can reflect the overall safety level of anti-infective drugs. According to the report, since the second half of 2007, the National Center for Monitoring Adverse Drug Reactions has conducted a comprehensive evaluation of ceftriaxone sodium, and the results show that the benefits of ceftriaxone sodium clearly outweigh the risks under reasonable use. However, due to the widespread phenomenon of unreasonable use of the drug, the risk of drug use has expanded significantly and the number of adverse events has increased significantly. Serious adverse events of ceftriaxone sodium are mainly manifested as allergic reactions, especially anaphylaxis, which may pose a serious threat to the life and health of patients. At present, the World Health Organization has received a total of 9,728 reported cases of adverse reactions to ceftriaxone sodium. Among them, there are 332 cases of anaphylaxis and 152 deaths. The circular advises health care workers to use the drug strictly in accordance with the drug instructions, to avoid the use of super-indications, contraindications and contraindications to the use of the drug in combination, and to regulate the use of the drug during the surgical period. The other four drug safety messages are: Recombinant human erythropoietin can make the risk of increased mortality, serious cardiovascular and thrombotic events and tumor growth in patients with hemoglobin concentrations maintained above 12 g/dL. Medical professionals are cautioned that the use of recombinant human erythropoietin should control the patient’s target hemoglobin concentration and weigh the risks and benefits of using such products. Motilmic acid is associated with miscarriage and fetal and neonatal malformations in pregnant women. Patients are cautioned that strict contraception should be used with these drugs and that physicians should exclude pregnancy in female patients when prescribing this drug. Users of antiepileptic drugs may be at risk for suicidal ideation or suicidal behavior (including suicide attempts and death by suicide). Physicians should be reminded to inform patients, their families, and caregivers about the risk of suicide with antiepileptic drugs when prescribing them. Antidepressants may increase the risk of suicide (including suicidal ideation and suicidal behavior) in children, adolescents, and adults under 25 years of age, especially during the first few months of antidepressant treatment. Health care providers, patients’ families and caregivers are reminded to increase monitoring of patients’ daily behavior and to use such medications properly under the guidance of a physician.
