Over 15 million CEREC restorations worldwide have been approved by patients and dentists over the past 25 years. Five years later, 95-97% of CEREC single crowns are still intact. The restoration rate for inlays and high inlays after ten years is 90-95 percent. Today, an average of one CEREC restoration every 10 seconds brings patients beautiful and durable all-ceramic restorations, CEREC is a widely accepted and clinically proven technology.
What is CEREC (CAD/CAM) technology?
CEREC technology – chairside immediate restoration system, known in China as (CAD/CAM), i.e. computer-aided design and computer-aided fabrication. The economic and beautiful porcelain restoration completed at the treatment chairside, a visit to complete the dental fine restorations, leading dental treatment technology into the era of computer digital. For you to save the complex procedures of porcelain crowns, so that you can complete the restoration in one visit, really save a lot of time for you, from then on to achieve the dental treatment is a kind of enjoyment.
CEREC technology breaks the past in the mouth to take the mold that is disgusting and full of impression material, and then sent to the processing plant workers carved wax, porcelain and other traditional denture manufacturing procedures require 7-10 days of waiting. The entire process of CEREC system from diagnosis, photography, production, trial wear in one area to complete the realistic all-ceramic crowns, or ceramic veneers. It takes only one hour to complete the whole process. Because the entire process is computerized, not only is the completion time reduced from 7 days to 1 hour, but human error is also greatly reduced. CEREC takes you on a joyful journey of veneers!
Wide range of adaptability
It is applicable to the solution of various dental problems such as tooth decay, dental restoration after root canal treatment, cosmetic veneer of anterior teeth, repair of traumatic fracture of anterior teeth, incisor closure gap, modification of tooth morphology, adjacent surface caries of anterior teeth, crown restoration, etc.
The history of CEREC technology development
CEREC technology was developed by Dr. Wormann of the University of Zurich in Switzerland as early as 1985. It has been continuously developed and improved by Siemens in Germany. Over the past 25 years, three generations of the CEREC system have been introduced – CEREC 1 was developed in 1987 for the fabrication of inlays; CEREC 2 was introduced in 1994 for all single-unit restorations; CEREC 3 was introduced in 2000 and a three-dimensional operating system was added in 2003 – CEREC 3D. CEREC 3D.
The fourth generation of CEREC technology
In November 2010, the world-renowned dental equipment manufacturer Sirona Dental Equipment GmbH, through continuous innovative research and development, developed the fourth generation of technology based on the first three generations of CEREC technology – the “Siemens Dental Carving Robot “(i.e. CEREC AC) was introduced, creating the concept of combining optical impressions and digital transmission mode between clinical and technician production rooms, reducing intermediate links, making CAD/CAM chairside restorations more accurate, reliable and efficient, once again at the forefront of digital optical impressions and leading the way forward for dentistry.
Three latest CEREC technologies, building the international “gold standard” for all-ceramic restorations
Opened a new era of “physiological tooth reconstruction
I. CEREC 3D software intelligent digital technology
CEREC AC uses computer-aided design and computer-aided production of intelligent digital technology system, breaking the traditional procedures of grinding, taking impressions, carving wax, firing porcelain, etc., avoiding the traditional impressions and modeling errors and deformations that may be caused by turning the mold, significantly reducing the discomfort of patients biting the mold.
Second, CEREC Bluecam scanning technology
The new generation of CEREC AC adopts the original Bluecam scanning technology, which is not available in any previous generation of CEREC products. In automatic gear mode, CEREC Bluecam makes its highly sophisticated system set new standards in measurement accuracy and provide unprecedented precision. The high-performance semiconductor emits short-wave blue light for fast and accurate optical image acquisition, allowing images of one quadrant of the oral cavity to be acquired in less than a minute, and images of the dentition to be acquired in seconds, making CAD/CAM chairside restorations more accurate, reliable and efficient.
CEREC Biogeneric Bio-reconstruction Design
CEREC Biogeneric design is a revolutionary innovation in the design of occlusal surfaces. It is the first technique to redesign the occlusal surface based on the patient’s different tooth morphology, automatically confirming the existing structure and reconstructing the occlusal surface based on the patient’s different tooth morphology, almost like the original natural tooth.
Overview: The three latest CEREC technologies have built the “gold standard” for all-ceramic restorations, creating top-quality dental restorations that achieve a physiological reconstruction of the teeth, just like your own “grown” teeth, both in form, color and function. It meets the highest aesthetic expectations of modern man, which other CAD/CAM programs cannot.
Advantages of Siemens Dental Sculpture Robot
1. Breakthrough in traditional restoration methods, the convenience of a single visit, immediately available – no traditional mold taking, no temporary crown restoration. Tooth preparation, image taking, design, grinding, polishing/glazing, bonding, the whole process can be reproduced in 2 hours.
2.Natural and beautiful – the material is close to the natural teeth, the color is natural and beautiful, no fading.
3.High precision optical impressions – The short-wave blue light scanning lens system with CEREC Bluecam technology sets a new standard for measurement accuracy. Only one exposure is needed to obtain a three-dimensional image of a complex inlay.
4.No need for temporary restorations – done in one visit, patients do not need multiple follow-up visits and do not need to wear temporary braces.
5.Protective restoration, maximum retention of natural tooth quality – The new Biogeneric Biosimulation Software (patented by Sinodont) will calculate and restore the natural shape of the missing part with high precision based on the morphology of the patient’s remaining teeth, minimizing tooth grinding and preserving more natural tooth quality for the patient.
6.Excellent quality, long-lasting and durable – the material has high strength and can generally last more than 10 years, which is significantly higher than the life span of composite fillings
7, no metal restoration – all-porcelain restoration does not contain metal, harmless to the human body, more safe and reliable
8, can avoid secondary decay – and the edge of the tooth is the closest fit, can avoid secondary decay, etc., is the ideal choice for patients with tooth decay and other dental diseases
