What is the best treatment for small cell lung cancer?

Patient: Description of condition (onset time, main symptoms, hospital visited, etc.): Cough started 3 months ago, small brain infarction 1 month ago, found old fever in the afternoon after getting well, later diagnosed as small cell lung cancer Have started chemotherapy What other treatment methods are available. Li Xiaohua, Department of Thoracic Surgery, Jinan Central Hospital: Small cell lung cancer is a special kind of lung cancer with fast growth, early metastasis and relatively high malignancy, but it is more sensitive to chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Small cell lung cancer must be evaluated for metastasis or potential metastasis before treatment. The treatment advocates “sandwich” therapy, i.e. “chemotherapy-surgery-radiotherapy-chemotherapy”. If distant metastases are present, surgical intervention is not considered. In general, the near-term outcome is good, but the long-term survival rate is low.
