Can spraying trivalent silver ion antibacterial solution on the mask give it an extra layer of protection?

Trivalent silver ion antimicrobial solution is a commonly used silver ion antimicrobial agent, which is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that can kill more than 650 pathogenic organisms. In addition to bacteria, silver ions also have some killing effect on viruses. However, due to the lack of actual evidence that silver ions are effective against the new coronavirus, the use of silver ion antimicrobial agents to kill the new coronavirus is not recommended in the current fifth edition of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Treatment Plan, nor is there a specific statement that “spraying trivalent silver ion antimicrobial solution on the mask can give the mask an additional layer of protection.
