Fever and cough self-assessment methods

Based on the current epidemiological survey, novel coronavirus pneumonia is characterized by fever, malaise, and dry cough, and heavy cases tend to develop respiratory distress after one week. Therefore, if there is fever, axillary temperature ≥38°C, cough mainly dry cough, and also a history of travel or residence in Wuhan area 14 days before the onset, there is a possibility of being infected by novel coronavirus. Patients can wear a mask and go to the hospital for novel coronavirus nucleic acid testing or viral gene sequencing to clarify the diagnosis.
