There are 3 main types of drugs for the treatment of gastric ulcer: 1) acid suppressants; 2) gastric mucosal protectors; 3) antibiotics against Hp infection. Acid inhibitors are mainly divided into 2 types, such as H2 receptor blockers, mainly including cimetidine, ranitidine and famotidine. Proton pump inhibitors mainly include pantoprazole, lansoprazole and omeprazole. Acid-suppressing drugs are now mainly applied to proton pump inhibitors because of their better acid-suppressing therapeutic effect. Gastric mucosal protective agents mainly include bismuth pectin, aluminum thioglycollate, aluminum hydroxide, aluminum phosphate, etc. Anti-Hp infection drugs, also known as anti-H. pylori drugs, are mainly chosen according to whether they are positive for H. pylori. If it is positive, antibiotic treatment is needed, if it is negative, no antibiotic application is needed. The course of treatment for gastric ulcers requires 6-8 weeks, and oral medication for 2 months requires timely review of the gastroscopy because of the high recurrence rate of gastric ulcers. Gastroscopy needs to be accompanied by pathology because only pathology can exclude the possibility of gastric cancer.
