Follicles and ovarian cysts belong to two different natures. Generally ovarian cysts are cystic swellings on the ovaries, most of which are benign, and a small percentage are malignant, and this is more likely to be pathological. The follicle is also on the ovary and is also cystic, but it is normal ovarian tissue and not something pathological. The development of follicles is mainly due to the cyclical changes in the ovaries, which gradually develop into mature follicles in the first half of each month because of changes in hormone levels and ovulation, mainly in preparation for conception, which is a normal physiological phenomenon, while ovarian cysts are a pathological phenomenon caused by abnormal cell development. The follicles usually do not exceed 3-4cm, while ovarian cysts may gradually increase to 10-20cm.
