What to do if your baby has recurrent fever

When a baby has repeated fevers, it depends on whether there are any comorbidities, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, or convulsions. And it depends on how many degrees the fever is, low fever is between 37.5℃-38.5℃, while high fever is over 38.5℃. If the fever is low, suggesting a short illness and relatively weak virulence, oral medication can be given for 3 days to observe the effect first, and if the body temperature drops while the combined symptoms are relieved, oral medication can be continued, usually for about a week. If there is repeated high fever, temperature greater than 38.5 ℃, suggesting a strong virulence, usually bacterial infection, viral infection, mycoplasma infection, need to go to the hospital to check the blood routine to clarify the pathogenic bacteria. Bacterial infections require the application of cephalosporins, viral infections have no specific drugs, and mycoplasma infections can be applied with azithromycin and roxithromycin. In the case of high fever, oral medication such as Merlin and Tylenol should be given.
