Most of the time, abdominal CT can detect bowel cancer because when bowel cancer occurs, there will be thickening of the intestinal wall or swelling in the intestinal cavity, and these changes can be seen during abdominal CT, but when bowel cancer is at a relatively early stage, the tumor is small and sometimes it is difficult to be detected in abdominal CT. The diagnosis of intestinal cancer requires the comprehensive judgment of several examinations, including abdominal CT and colonoscopy, etc. Generally, it is necessary to perfect the colonoscopy examination and take the lesions for further pathological examination during the colonoscopy, so as to clearly diagnose intestinal cancer. Therefore, abdominal CT can detect intestinal cancer and some of its signs, but to diagnose intestinal cancer in a more standardized way, not only abdominal CT, but also colonoscopy and pathological examination are needed.
