Is cephalosporin effective for tuberculosis?

Cephalosporin alone is not effective in tuberculosis, as it is not clinically effective against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but if a patient with tuberculosis has a co-infection with bacteria, oral cephalosporin can be effective. If patients are diagnosed with tuberculosis, they need to use anti-tuberculosis drugs, including isoniazid, rifampin, pyrazinamide, streptomycin, levofloxacin and so on. After tuberculosis is diagnosed, if the patient has cavitary tuberculosis, or infiltrative tuberculosis, which is usually clinically infectious, appropriate isolation is required. Patients with tuberculosis should take rest, drink more water, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.
