The gold standard for the treatment of choledochal cysts – laparoscopy Congenital choledochal cysts (congenital dilatation of the bile ducts) is a common pediatric disease that requires surgical treatment. However, in the past, conventional open surgery was used, and although it could also achieve the goal of eradication, the incision was large, unsightly, with many tissue injuries, and complications (such as infection of the incision, splitting of the abdominal wall, etc.). Currently, laparoscopic treatment of congenital choledochal cysts has matured, with four 5mm holes, one of which is located in the umbilicus, and the incision is almost invisible after healing, and the hole located in the umbilicus will disappear completely. Tissue damage is minimal, recovery is quick, complications are few, and the same eradication can be achieved. It has become the first choice for the treatment of the disease.
