Most patients who survive after conservative medical treatment or after minimally invasive and other surgical methods will wake up in about 2 weeks. Eye movements first appear, then the limbs appear to have the ability to respond to stimuli, and finally most patients will show an avoidance response of the limbs and gradually show the eyes chasing the patient. Some patients may first be able to complete some simple questions and answers, including command actions, without difficulty. After that, it takes a period of time, about 1-2 months, to return to the basic state, such as the state of being able to move the limbs and simple questions and answers.
