There is no clear correspondence between visual acuity and refractive error in general, but there is still some correlation. Usually myopia of 50 degrees or more is considered clinical myopia and can be defined as myopia. 50 degrees of myopia corresponds to a visual acuity range of about 0.8, which means that children need to pay attention if their visual acuity is lower than 0.8 when they have their eyesight checked, so they can have a dilated eye exam to check the exact refraction, or they can take a break and have their vision checked again in 1-2 weeks. If your vision is still below 0.8, you will also need to have a dilated eye exam. This will not affect the child’s ability to see the blackboard and will slow down the growth of myopia, which will help with the overall control of myopia.
