What to do about fatty liver with hypoechogenicity in the right lobe

Fatty liver with hypoechoic right lobe may be accompanied by hepatic cysts, hepatic hemangioma, liver cancer, etc., which need to be adjusted according to the different diseases such as diet, liver protection, lipid regulation and surgical treatment.
Fatty liver itself needs to pay attention to the usual diet, don’t drink alcohol, eat less animal offal, eat less spicy and stimulating greasy food, eat more light and easy to digest, low-fat food.
1. Liver cysts: If there is hypoechoicity within the right lobe on examination, it may be a liver cyst. Asymptomatic people with small cysts do not need treatment. Polycystic liver disease can take growth inhibitor analogs to relieve symptoms. If the cysts are large, there will be symptoms of abdominal pain, and some of them need to be treated with surgery.
2. Hepatic hemangioma: it is most common in middle-aged women, mostly asymptomatic, and can be manifested as epigastric discomfort and abdominal mass, and the only way to cure it is surgical resection.
3. Hepatocellular carcinoma: Hepatocellular carcinoma will also have hypoechogenicity in the right lobe of the liver, usually asymptomatic in the early stage, and will have symptoms such as pain in the liver area, fever and fatigue in the late stage. If hepatitis B is combined with hepatocellular carcinoma, it can be treated with antiviral therapy, such as oral nucleotide analogs like tenofovir; it can also be treated with liver-protecting therapy, such as reduced glutathione; and in serious cases, it needs surgical treatment, such as hepatectomy and so on.
If patients with fatty liver find hypoechoic in the right lobe of the liver, they need to review the relevant examinations in a timely manner to clarify the cause of the disease, go to a regular hospital for treatment, and follow the doctor’s instructions for medication, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
