Pregnancy with high blood pressure and high urine protein is highly suspicious of preeclampsia. Patients with preeclampsia will have elevated blood pressure, proteinuria and edema, manifesting as dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases, convulsions or coma, and should be examined and hospitalized. Patients should be treated to ensure enough rest and avoid noise, while actively controlling blood pressure and using magnesium sulfate for antispasmodic if necessary to prevent severe convulsions in pregnant women. Pre-eclampsia has a great impact on pregnant women and fetuses, and can be life-threatening in severe cases.
