How is double eyelid surgery done?

  Double eyelid surgery is called blepharoplasty, which is a procedure that changes the structure of the eyelid tissue and reshapes the shape of the eyelid to form an upper lid fold.  The indications for blepharoplasty are thin eyelids, no bloating, no laxity of the eyelid skin and normal tension, and no medial canthus. What the surgeon will do 1. (greater than 8 mm), medium (6 to 8 mm) and narrow (5 to 6 mm).  The medial aspect of the heavy eyelid line starts at the inner corner of the eye or 1 to 2 mm above the inner corner of the eye and is usually highest at the junction of the inner 1/3 and middle 1/3 of the upper eyelid, while the lateral aspect is vertically above the outer corner of the eye and is 1 to 2 mm smaller than or equal to the middle height.  The length of the eyelid line The eyelid line starts from the inner canthus and extends beyond the outer canthus by 3 to 5 mm. In older adults, the eyelid line can be extended outward to remove loose upper lid skin and eliminate crow’s feet, usually by 5 to 10 mm, but the longest should not exceed the vertical line at the end of the eyebrow.  The shape of the eyelid can be “parallel”, “broad-tailed” or “crescent”.  What are the surgical options? 1. Buried lid 2. Incision
