Sleep is an active physiological process in the body that restores the mind and relieves fatigue. Adequate sleep, a balanced diet and appropriate exercise are the three internationally recognized health standards. According to a survey conducted by the World Health Organization, about 27% of adults have sleep problems, most of which are not properly treated and are suffering from various sleep disorders. About 1/3 of a person’s life is spent in sleep, and the quality of sleep directly affects the quality of life and physical health. With the development of China’s economy and the promotion of urbanization, the tension of work, the pressure of competition, mental burden and interpersonal conflicts, etc., make more and more people’s sleep is affected, of which insomnia is one of the most common sleep disorders. The main manifestations of insomnia are: difficulty in falling asleep, easy to wake up or wake up early in the morning, dreamy, etc., feeling dizzy the next morning, lack of energy, drowsiness, fatigue, etc. Long-term chronic insomnia seriously affects the quality of life and can lead to an increase in the incidence of hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and can also lead to traffic accidents and sleeping drug abuse.
