Keshan disease is an endemic cardiomyopathy of unknown etiology found in China, and was discovered in 1935 in Keshan County, Heilongjiang Province, hence the name Keshan disease. According to the functional status of the heart, it can be clinically divided into acute, subacute, slow and latent types. 1. Acute The onset is more acute and the clinical manifestations are more obvious, nausea, vomiting, and in severe cases, loss of consciousness and heart failure. Infection, cold, and fatigue are all triggers for the attack, which is more common in winter. Healthy people may also have sudden attacks, which are difficult to monitor. Subacute attacks are common in children, mostly under the age of five, and are more common in spring and summer. Initial symptoms are similar to those of a cold, with cough and fever, and later heart failure and liver enlargement may occur. Other complications may occur, such as pulmonary and renal embolism are more common. 3. Slow onset, from acute or subacute transformation, heart failure, shortness of breath, and more obvious after exertion, accompanied by arrhythmia. 4.Potential type does not have obvious symptoms, is potential, later may develop into acute, subacute, or slow, may be found during physical examination, sometimes arrhythmia, symptoms are not obvious.
