Poly(cinnamyl alcohol) foam sclerosant for the treatment of choroidal aneurysms

The therapeutic effect of the new foam sclerosant polycinnamyl alcohol on varicose veins of the lower extremities has been relatively certain, and we have achieved very good results with this treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities. There are few reports on the treatment of vascular tumor (hemangioma/lymphangioma) with polycinnamon liquid foam sclerosant, we have made some attempts in this regard in the past year and gained some experience. We are glad to have the opportunity to discuss with experts here. Over the past year, 230 cases of vascular tumor were treated, with different sizes and shades, and most of them achieved obvious results, 3 cases were completely cured, but there were also cases with poor results, and no obvious side effects and complications occurred during the period of treatment and a few months to a year after the treatment. Treatment method: Under ultrasound guidance, the catheter was placed into the tumor cavity using the micropenetrating needle percutaneous introduction system. One whole polycinnamon injection (10 ml of liquid mixed with 10 ml of air to form 20 ml of foam sclerosant) was injected after withdrawing about 150 ml of lymphatic fluid from the tumor cavity at a time. After the foam sclerosing agent is injected into the tumor cavity, the foam can be clearly seen on ultrasound to diffuse in the tumor cavity. After 2 treatments for 2 months, the ultrasound showed a significant reduction of the tumor. It was prepared to repeat MRI after 2 more treatments.
