With the introduction of the concept of voice microsurgery, the precision and breadth of the treatment of voice surgical diseases have been further expanded. Voice microsurgery, which aims to improve and restore the quality of voice, will become the mainstream direction of laryngology in the future. Voice microsurgery is a surgery based on the application of high-resolution microscope and microscopic instruments (or laser) under the guidance of a supported laryngoscope to preserve the basic tissue structure of the vocal folds to the maximum extent. The advantages of voice microsurgery compared with traditional surgery are: 1. Full exposure of the lesion area. 2. The magnification of the microscope and the miniaturization of the surgical instruments greatly improve the fineness of the surgery and fully remove the lesion for the purpose of minimally invasive surgery. 3. Strict protection of normal tissue structure, thus enabling maximum recovery and preservation of vocal fold function. The main features are good curative effect, good function preservation, small trauma, short treatment period, low cost, and good recovery of vocal function after surgery. It provides a broad space for the treatment of benign laryngeal proliferative lesions, precancerous lesions and early vocal fold cancer, laryngeal stenosis, double vocal fold paralysis, vocal fold scar, vocal fold sulcus, etc.
