Hip pain that cannot be ignored

The folk name for “hip pain” and “thigh pain” is the medical name for “hip pain”, or “hip pain” for short. “It is a painful condition in or around the hip joint. The location of the hip joint is deep, so it is difficult for patients to describe the exact location of the pain. They often feel pain and discomfort at the front, side or hip of the thigh, but they cannot touch the exact pain point with their hands. There are many causes of hip pain, and each age has its own cause. For middle-aged and old-aged hip pain, the current clinical diagnosis mostly focuses on aseptic necrosis of the femoral head or osteoarthritis, while for adolescent hip pain, the diagnosis is mostly synovitis and rheumatoid arthritis. After simple treatment, the effect is not good, and some hip pain patients often fall into the dilemma of seeking medical help everywhere and feeling pessimistic. There is also a large proportion of patients with “hip pain” who have never been diagnosed, and patients suffer from waiting for their condition and moving from one hospital to another. Most doctors lack knowledge and experience in this disease, especially before the development of hip arthroscopy technology, so it is difficult to make a clear diagnosis, and therefore misdiagnosis and mistreatment are very common. It is most likely to be misdiagnosed as “femoral head necrosis”, “synovitis”, “sciatica”, “lumbar disc herniation “etc. With the advancement of minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques and equipment, doctors can clearly diagnose and provide targeted and effective treatment for patients with “hip pain” through minimally invasive endoscopic means. Minimally invasive hip arthroscopy has led to the recognition of another common condition of hip pain – “hip impingement syndrome”. From an anatomical point of view, the normal hip joint consists of the acetabulum and the femoral head, similar to the relationship between a head and a hat. Can imagine, if the inner edge of the hat broken and not smooth, is bound to rub the forehead cause pain and discomfort; and the head in growing, the hat did not change in time when the big, the head is not suitable for the hat. In fact, the occurrence of “hip impingement syndrome” in addition to part of the congenital anatomical abnormalities, most patients also have a history of acute and chronic joint injuries. Similar injuries are often seen in soccer, skating, skiing, dance, gymnastics, yoga, fitness leg resting, cross-legged sedentary, gym splits and ligaments and other sports. The main clinical symptoms are hip pain, a popping sound when changing hip positions, or a feeling of the joint suddenly getting stuck. The strength of the affected side of the hip decreases, and it is difficult to run rapidly or support one leg. In severe cases, patients cannot even lie on their side. Advances in hip arthroscopy have not only helped diagnose hip impingement syndrome, but have also made it easier to treat it. Arthroscopy is truly minimally invasive surgery. By introducing specialized tools into the joint cavity through only 2-3 5mm incisions and performing the surgery on a TV screen, the surgeon is able to effectively clean the hip cavity, remove the impingement-causing bone, repair the damaged glenoid labrum, and promote the repair of damaged articular cartilage. The operation is less invasive, and the patient recovers quickly after the operation and can walk on the ground with the aid of an abductor at an early stage.
