Abstract: This patient usually sweats very little before treatment, and may sweat only slightly in a layer in particularly hot weather or after a lot of exercise. The skin is dry in autumn and winter and there is no sweating around the body. For such a situation, the patient himself did not feel significantly uncomfortable, but this is an oligohidrosis. The fluid cannot moisten the skin and tendons, so we need to use the method of harmonizing Ying and Wei to push out the fluid and moisten the skin, and the applied formula is Gui Zhi Tang with Jing Zhi and Fang Feng. After 5 weeks of treatment, the patient felt that she was sweating slightly after activity and her skin and mouth were moistened. The patient was retired at home, 65 years old, and usually had little sweating. The patient’s face is less florid, her mouth is dry, she does not want to drink, she is afraid of cold, her skin is dry, and she is prone to hives. He is afraid of wind and cold, and is prone to headache and nasal congestion when the weather changes. The patient’s tongue is light and lubricated, with teeth marks and a sunken pulse. Based on the patient’s tongue and pulse and the comprehensive manifestation of symptoms, the patient is considered to be suffering from oligohidrosis. The patient is considered to be suffering from hypohidrosis. Hypohidrosis is the inability to push fluid to the skin resulting in loss of moistening and dryness of the skin. Less sweating also indicates Qi deficiency and Qi stagnation, which cannot push Ying-Yin to spread around the body normally. Therefore, Gui Zhi Tang with Jing Zhi and Fang Feng is given to harmonize Ying and Wei, warm Yang and transform Qi, and promote the outflow of fluid to moisten the peripheral body. II. Treatment history According to the system of TCM identification, to harmonize Ying and Wei, warm Yang and transform Qi, Gui Zhi Tang with Jing Zhi and Fang Feng was given, and the patient was seen again after 1 week. At the 2nd meeting, the patient’s headache and fear of coldness were relieved, dry mouth slightly improved, sweating was possible after taking the medicine, but the skin was dry and recovered as usual after the medicine. Continue to take the original prescription for 1 week. At the second visit, the patient’s dry mouth improved significantly, his tongue was lightly coated with thin fur, his pulse was as usual, and he had small sweats around his body after activity or in a warm environment, and his nasal congestion was relieved, so he continued to take the medicine for 2 weeks to consolidate. At the time of re-examination, the patient’s sweating was normal, the urticaria had basically disappeared, and the original discomfort had improved significantly. The patient was advised to avoid wind and cold, not to be cold and windy, and to avoid cold and spicy diet. The patient was treated for 5 weeks from the initial consultation to the final consultation. After the TCM evidence-based treatment, the patient’s hypohidrosis and other uncomfortable symptoms were improved, the sweating condition was basically back to normal, with slight sweating after peripheral activities, the urticaria symptoms basically disappeared, the headache, coldness, dry mouth and other uncomfortable sensations were significantly improved, and the skin and lips were moistened. Most cases of oligohidrosis are not taken seriously, but many cases of oligohidrosis with other symptoms affect the normal state of life, after the identification treatment through Chinese medicine, the symptoms are resolved, the patient feels a significant improvement in physical state and mental state compared with before the treatment. Fourth, precautions are glad that the patient’s symptoms have improved after treatment, but for this patient still need to pay close attention to some of the problems, such as sweating to avoid the wind after taking the medicine. Because cold wind and cold dampness can easily invade the pores after sweating and enter the skin to the tendons and bones, causing pain or urticaria and other skin diseases, so patients should pay attention to avoid wind and cold after sweating, and also need to pay attention to avoid spicy food intake. In addition, patients also need to pay attention to adhere to exercise, keep the body full of positive energy, drink more warm water, fluid can constantly moisten the skin, Ying Wei harmonize, can resist the external environment of evil, so as to maintain a better physical condition. V. Personal insight Less sweating is generally not taken seriously because most people do not have particularly uncomfortable symptoms, but the mechanism of less sweating belongs to the inability of fluids to leak out, such as the patient in this article, on the one hand, there is a lack of fluids, on the other hand, there is a deficiency of qi to push the weakness, or qi stagnation, a variety of reasons lead to patients less sweating. For older people with hypohidrosis, it cannot be ruled out that there may also be symptoms of dysfunction of the internal organs, such as lipid and blood sugar metabolism, poor sleep conditions, cardiac neurosis, skin diseases such as urticaria, or menstrual disorders in women, so hypohidrosis should be actively treated when found.
