Wrist fractures usually return to normal functioning in a few months

A fractured wrist usually takes 2 months to return to normal function. Most wrist fractures are caused by a fracture of the wrist after a fall. A fracture indicates that the fracture injury is not particularly serious. The wrist is usually swollen after the injury, and in severe cases there will be pressure pain and limitation of wrist movement. First of all, you need to take a film to clarify the extent of the fracture injury, local ice can be done to reduce swelling and play a role in analgesia, you can generally choose conservative treatment, with a cast or splint fixed for 1 month. If the fracture is well healed, the cast can be removed and the wrist flexion and extension exercises can be started, but no force should be applied yet. In the second month, we will check again to see how the fracture is recovering. When the fracture line is completely gone, we can basically resume normal operation. Wrist fracture needs to be well nourished within 2 months to avoid sequelae.
